Cesar Chavez, the legendary migrant farmworkers' union leader who led a nationwide grape boycott in the 1960s, was found dead yesterday, apparently from natural causes, police said. He was 66 years old, Reuter reports from Phoenix.
Chavez, leader of the United Farm Workers Union, died peacefully in his sleep. A police spokesman said the cause of death had not been determined but that there was no evidence of foul play.
