Ferry disaster blamed on overloading

Chandpur, Bangladesh - A ferry captain took a load of rice on board a crowded boat shortly before it capsized in a disaster that left some 350 people feared drowned, survivors said. The ferry was carrying 400 passengers, double its authorized load, when it overturned and sank near the port of Chandpur, 40 miles south of Dhaka, on Saturday.
