Freetown (AP) - Fishermen blasting with dynamite along the beach near the residence of Sierra Leone's military ruler provoked a coup scare yesterday.

Soldiers with rocket-propelled grenades and other sophisticated weapons rushed to guard the main government administrative buildings in the west end of the city, before four frightened fishermen confessed to using dynamite illegally to fish.
