IF YOU'RE worried about the British postal service, be grateful you're not living in Crete. In June 1987 Antonia, at home in Chania, sent her boyfriend Manolis Hatzakis, working in Heraklion 60 miles away, a letter telling him the worst. She was pregnant and what was he going to do about it?
Not much if you rely on a postman. The letter only arrived last week.
There was a happy ending, of course. Antonia became Mrs Hatzakis - and the letter was opened by her six-year-old son.
