Former Colombian ambassador killed

Bogota- Alvaro Gomez Hurtado, 76, a former Colombian presidential candidate, ambassador to Washington and outspoken critic of the government, was killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen. Radio news bulletins said two assailants shot Mr Gomez near the entrance of Sergio Arboleda University. Agencies
