French holidaymakers face miserable journeys as some 11 million people are expected to clog the roads on the busiest two days of the year this weekend, Reuter reports from Paris.
Traffic is expected to be especially heavy since 1 August, the start or finish of many people's summer holidays, falls on a weekend. Today will be the busiest day of the summer, and the ministry advised people not to drive at all.
