LYONS - A leading conservative politician, Michel Noir, and a star television presenter, Patrick Poivre d'Arvor, were sent for trial on fraud charges yesterday in connection with the fraudulent bankruptcy of Mr Noir's son-in-law, Pierre Botton. An anti-corruption magistrate also committed Mr Botton for trial, along with nine others, including the mayor of Cannes. AFP
