Gaddafi relents

Salloum - The Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has suspended the mass expulsion of Palestinians, according to travellers at this Egyptian border post. Libya began to deport its 30,000 Palestinian workers in what Colonel Gaddafi said was a move to expose the inadequacies of the PLO-Israeli accord. Libya also claimed many foreigners it expelled carried the Aids or Ebola viruses. AFP
