Germany stepped up mediation efforts yesterday between France and the US to salvage agreement on the Gatt negotiations, writes John Eisenhammer in Bonn. Saying he would hold talks on Monday with Micky Kantor, US Trade Representative, Gunter Rexrodt, the German Economics Minister, outlined possible areas for compromise.
