Ginsburg joins Supreme Court

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was confirmed by the Senate yesterday as America's second woman Supreme Court justice. The federal appeals judge from Washington was nominated by President Bill Clinton to replace Justice Byron White, who retired in June, Reuter reports from Washington.
