Hani killer denied retrial

Apro-apartheid politician, Clive Derby-Lewis, who was convicted of assassinating a top ANC activist, was yesterday denied a retrial, AP reports from Johannesburg. The judge said Derby-Lewis had failed to prove he had any new evidence that would result in a reversal of his conviction and death sentence for the murder of Chris Hani.
