A document suggesting that Hanoi lied about its number of American prisoners in 1972 certainly is fake because its supposed author was incorrectly identified, a Vietnamese official said yesterday, AP reports from Hanoi. Ha Huy Thong, the deputy director of the Americas Department at the Foreign Ministry, said the document was 'sheer fabrication'.
