AMRITSAR (AP) - Indian commandos stormed a commandeered Indian Airlines Boeing 737 here early this morning and shot the lone hijacker dead, freeing all 141 people on board, police said. Ten elite 'Black Cat' troops burst through the emergency doors of the plane and shot the gunman 11 hours after the hijack began, on a flight from New Delhi to Srinagar in Kashmir. A government spokesman said the hijacker was a top commander of the Hizbul Mujahedin, a Muslim fundamentalist group fighting for independence for Kashmir.
