India's Hindu nationalist opposition suffered a serious setback yesterday as it headed for losses in at least two of five regional polls, Reuter reports from New Delhi.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won handsomely in Delhi but fell short of a majority in Rajasthan, lost Himachal Pradesh to a Congress party landslide, and conceded it would not win a majority in Uttar Pradesh.
