Peking - China cancelled a meeting yesterday between its top official for Hong Kong and a visiting British minister, signalling Peking's continued anger at British democratic reforms in the colony. Alastair Goodlad, the highest-ranking Foreign Office official to visit Peking in a year marked by fierce disputes over Hong Kong, was to have met Lu Ping, director of China's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office.
