Berlin (Reuter) - Police yesterday reported fresh attacks by German right-wing extremists on hostels for asylum-seeking refugees in the western and eastern parts of the country. They said hooligans smashed windows by throwing stones at hostels in the eastern states of Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
In the Bavarian town of Passau, a hostel housing 80 east Europeans was also stoned yesterday morning. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
