Malawians beaten

Blantyre - Four politicians said by former President Banda to have died in a car accident were beaten to death, a forensic expert said in the murder trial of the former dictator of Malawi. Dr Patricia Klepp said skull fractures probably were inflicted by hammer-like instruments. The injuries were not consistent with a car wreckclaimed at the time of the 1983 murders, Dr Klepp said. AP
