Indian missile test-launched
NEW DELHI (Reuter) - India test-launched a medium-range missile yesterday just before top officials met their Pakistani counterparts for talks on reducing tension between the two countries.
It was at least the fifth test of the surface-to-surface Prithvi missile, which was launched from Chandipur in Orissa state. The Defence Ministry describes the missile, which has a range of 250km (155 miles), as a tactical support weapon. Much of Pakistan could fall within its range.
