President Clinton's defense secretary-designate yesterday paid back-taxes for a part-time housekeeper, the White House said, making him the latest of a string of officials to stumble on ethics issues, Reuter reports. Retired Navy Admiral Bobby Ray Inman, named last week to replace Les Aspin at the Defence Department, paid about dollars 6,000 in taxes owed.
