Iranian police in riot gear arrested busloads of oil workers who staged a demonstration at the oil ministry to press for higher wages, witnesses said.

Witnesses earlier said more than 1,000 workers from Tehran refinery, Iran's third largest, took part in the protest at the ministry in the centre of the capital as their representatives were inside the building to negotiate with officials. Reuters - Tehran
