Iraq issued a new demand for the end of Gulf war sanctions and said if the current state of affairs continued, it would have to 'act in a manner' that protected its people against the harm they were suffering, Reuter reports from New York. The call came from the Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, Tareq Aziz, in New York to campaign against sanctions.
