Kuwait City (Reuter) - An American detained by Iraq has been taken to the offices of the UN Iraq-Kuwait Observer Mission in Baghdad, a UN spokesman said yesterday. Chad Hall was detained on the Kuwaiti border on Thursday. He had been working with two Pakistani colleagues to clear explosives left over from the Gulf war. The Pakistanis were not detained. An Iraqi information ministry spokesman said Iraq had investigated Mr Hall's case and concluded that 'a certain confusion' led to his arrest.
