Iraq to host match

Paris - The official world chess championship will be held in Baghdad next June despite international ostracism of Iraq, said the Russian president of the International Chess Federation, Kirsan Ilumjinov. The contest between Anatoly Karpov of Russia and the Russian-born American Gata Kansky will start on 1 June. Reuter
