Israel blocks Hebron food aid
Israel yesterday prevented an emergency Red Cross food convoy reaching Palestinians in the centre of Hebron, Sarah Helm reports from Jerusalem. About 3,000 Palestinians have run short of supplies owing to the curfew imposed after last month's mosque massacre. The International Committee of the Red Cross had prepared to deliver relief supplies early yesterday. Israel said the delivery might incite protests in the town, and demanded that it be postponed.
