Israel yesterday prevented an emergency Red Cross food convoy reaching Palestinians in the centre of Hebron, Sarah Helm reports from Jerusalem. The International Committee of the Red Cross had prepared to deliver relief supplies early yesterday. Israel said the delivery might incite protests in the town, and demanded that it be postponed.
