Israel announced it would build a fence around the occupied territories, AFP reports from Jerusalem. The government has allocated dollars 13m (pounds 8.8m) to build the barrier and construct paths for security patrols around the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Metal fences will also be built around Jewish settlements.
