Two Japanese right-wing extremists surrendered to police yesterday nearly six hours after bursting into the offices of the Asahi Shimbun newspaper and taking about 10 hostages, Reuter reports from Tokyo. The armed men had leaflets denouncing media coverage of the issue of Japan's responsibility for the Second World War.
