NAQOURA, LEBANON - Arab guerillas riding jet skis yesterday tried to launch a daring attack against Israel, but were blasted out of the water by four Israeli gunboats off Lebanon's southern coast, UN officers said. The officers, who monitored the clash from an observation tower, said they saw the Israelis pulling the bodies of two guerillas and some debris out of the water. Automatic rifles, a pistol and hand grenades were strapped to the wreckage of the two jet skis, the UN said. Unconfirmed reports last night said three Israelis were shot dead by Palestinian gunmen at a tourist spot near Jericho in the occupied West Bank. AP
