A mystery woman yesterday paid 5 million Swiss francs ( pounds 2.2m) for the so-called 'crown jewel of philately', an envelope with two stamps sent from Mauritius to a Bordeaux wine exporter in 1847, Reuter reports from Zurich. The sum was a record for a cover - as stamps attached to an envelope are known.
