A total of 129 Hungarian journalists were fired from their jobs in the government-controlled radio, AP reports from Budapest. 'This was a politically motivated move, unprecedented since the cleansing in the wake of the suppression of the 1956 revolution,' said Ivan Petoe, president of the liberal Alliance of Free Democrats, the biggest opposition party.
