SEATTLE (AP) - Boeing is proposing to fit its 747-model jumbo jets with modified engine mounts to reduce the chance of engines snapping off in flight. Mounts on the 747s came under scrutiny after fatal crashes in Amsterdam last year and near Taipei in 1991.
