Jury returns
Two brothers were found guilty of manslaughter in Russia's first jury trial since 1917, Reuter reports from Moscow.
The judge at the trial in Saratov in the Volga region sentenced the brothers to jail terms of one and a half years and one year respectively after the jury found them guilty of killing three people in self-defence. The defendants had requested a trial by jury, a system abolished by the Bolsheviks as corrupt and bourgeois.
