Police arrested eight suspects after explosions that rocked different parts of Karachi earlier in the day, AFP reports from Karachi.

A police official said 10 people had been injured as at least nine explosions ripped through military and political targets in the city yesterday. 'The explosions that occurred in Karachi this morning were an act of terrorism, perpetrated by forces that do not want peace and security in the province of Sind,' the provincial chief minister, Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah, said.
