Kashmir avalanche leaves 36 dead

Muzaffarabad - An avalanche has killed 36 people and injured 27 in a remote village in the Pakistan-ruled part of the disputed Kashmir region. The avalanche, the second in nine days, swept away 27 houses and a mosque on Saturday. Helicopters were sent to the area yesterday with relief supplies. AP
