Zambian police have released the second of three sons of the former president, Kenneth Kaunda, detained in connection with an alleged coup plot, police said yesterday, Reuter reports from Lusaka.

The third son, Major Wezi Kaunda, an MP for the opposition United National Independence Party and its security chief, is being held in a maximum-security prison. Mr Kaunda's eldest son, Panji, and another son, Tilyenji, have been released after being held since early March.
