The Los Angeles City Council gave tentative approval to a ban on smoking in all restaurants in the city, Reuter reports from Los Angeles. If the council approves the ordinance in a final vote expected next Wednesday, Los Angeles will become the biggest US city to prohibit people from smoking in public eating places.
