Hizbollah and Israeli-paid militiamen fought a pitched battle near the Lebanese town of Jezzine yesterday, writes Robert Fisk in Beirut. Lebanese police officials said that six soldiers in the Lebanese national army had also been wounded in the mortar and rocket grenade assault.
