Libya's Foreign Minister spent last weekend in Paris in apparent defiance of international sanctions against Tripoli amid reports that British and US officials dealing with the 1988 bombing of a Pan Am airliner over Lockerbie, had met the minister, Julian Nundy writes from Paris.
The French Foreign Ministry said early yesterday that Omar el-Muntasser, the minister, had left Paris on Monday. He had no contact with French officials, the Ministry said.
