DEIR AIN ABATA, JORDAN (Reuter) - Archaeologists have discovered a 7th-century monastery dedicated to Lot. Excavation near the Dead Sea has revealed a monastery and an elaborate basilica as well as what may be the cave where believers say Lot took refuge with his daughters after his wife looked back at Sodom and Gomorrah and was turned into a pillar of salt.
