Nigeria's independent News weekly magazine was off the streets yesterday after police seized 80,000 copies of its latest edition, which was critical of the military-led government, Reuter reports from Lagos. Local reporters said the police took control of the magazine's Lagos premises on Saturday and impounded the entire print-run of the edition, a week after they seized copies of an edition focusing on President Ibrahim Babangida.
