Gaza's Hamas government says it has executed two Palestinians convicted of spying for Israel.

Interior Ministry spokesman Ihab Ghussein said the men, aged 60 and 29, were hanged at dawn yesterday.

He would not provide further details.

Angry family members of one of the executed men burned tyres and blocked a road in protest after the hanging.
