Israeli police have arrested two Hamas MPs who had been hiding in a Red Cross compound in Jerusalem.

Khaled Abu Arfa and Mohammed Totah sought refuge in the compound more than a year ago. They were arrested yesterday when they ventured outside.

The Palestinian parliament has not functioned since 2007 due to arrests and infighting between Hamas and the Fatah party.
