Today's missiles were reported to have "special capabilities" and they were launched throughout the night.

US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice has warned Iran that the United States will not back down in the face of threats against Israel.
Ms Rice said today, at the close of a three-day eastern European trip, that the US would defend its interests and allies.
