Isis execution video: Young boy ‘who could be British’ filmed taking part in jihadi killing

The video calls him ‘Abu Abdullah al-Britani’, a nickname used by several other British jihadis in the Middle East in the past

A young boy thought to be British has been seen taking part in the latest execution video released by Isis.

In the video, the boy, who appears to be aged between 10 and 12, shoots an adult prisoner kneeling in front of him alongside four other youngsters doing the same.

While his identity is not known, the propaganda video states his name to be Abu Abdullah al-Britani, a war name used to signify British jihadis.

The video shows the five boys standing behind a different orange jumpsuit-wearing prisoner. The children are armed with pistols and clothed in military gear and bandanas.

As the age of criminality in the UK is 10, if the boy is British and is brought back to the UK, he could face murder charges.

Last July, 25-year-old Assad Uzzman from Portsmouth was killed in Syria using the name al-Britani.

Known as "cubs of the Caliphate", more children are being used by Isis as soldiers after the terrorist group had been forced to retreat from major strongholds in Iraq and Syria.

In January, then-Foreign Minister Philip Hammond announced around 1,500 British people have attempted to join Isis and other terror groups in Syria.
