RAF helicopter in forced landing near minefield in West Bank
An RAF helicopter made a forced landing near the West Bank town of Jericho yesterday, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
The aircraft, believed to have been a Chinook, is thought to have landed close to an Israeli minefield after a mechanical failure.
An MoD spokeswoman said it was a “We can confirm that an RAF helicopter has made a precautionary landing in the West Bank in the course of a flight following a routine exercise. The crew are safe and well”. There were no injuries
