Two Egyptian men working for a mobile phone company have been kidnapped from their Baghdad office, the interior ministry said today.

The abduction happened last night in the upmarket Harthiya neighbourhood, said ministry official Col Adnan Abdel-Rahman. The men were driven away in a black BMW, he said. He had no further details.

The men's employers at Iraquna had no immediate information on the incident.
