A woman convicted of practising magic and sorcery was beheaded by Saudi authorities yesterday.
Amina bint Abdulhalim Nassar was executed in the northern province of Jawf. The London-based Al-Hayat newspaper quoted Abdullah al-Mohsen, chief of the religious police, as saying she had tricked people into thinking she could treat illnesses, charging $800 (£500) per session. Around 70 people have been executed in Saudi Arabia this year.
