An air-traffic controller's mistake nearly caused the collision of two jumbo jets over Russia's far east, an aviation official said, Reuter reports from Moscow. The Boeing B-747s, from British Airways and All Nippon Airlines, were put on a collision course near Khabarovsk on 29 November. The pilots were alerted by on-board warning equipment and managed to change direction.
