Iraq has completed the destruction of 70 tons of its declared nerve gas stocks as ordered by the United Nations, according to a UN chemical weapons expert, Reuter reports from Baghdad.
The burning of its mustard gas stockpiles of about 400 tons was also progressing steadily, said a British expert, Ron Manley, of the UN Special Commission which is supervising Iraq's compliance with the Gulf war ceasefire terms.
