New coalition for Belgium

THE BELGIAN King, Albert II, yesterday asked Guy Verhofstadt, Liberal party leader, to form a new coalition government to include Greens and socialists. If successful this will exclude outgoing prime minister Jean- Luc Dehaene's Christian Democrats from government.
