Anew, larger version of the Pegasus Bridge which British paratroops captured just before the D-Day landings was lowered into place yesterday in time for the 50th anniversary in June, Reuter reports from Benouville. The old bridge was dismantled in November to enable bigger ships to sail up an estuary from the Normandy coast to Caen.
